Verge Records is an independent record label based in New York City which showcases cutting edge, politically and socially conscious music from distressed neighborhoods across the globe. Defined as the extreme edge or margin, Verge stands for both ground breaking music and the neighborhoods that produce it.
Verge combines great music with community development. Verge donates a percentage of income earned from record sales to support educational organizations in artists’ neighborhoods working with youth through music and art. The cycle comes full circle when Verge identifies and recruits promising talent developed by these programs.
